SAFETY LAST! at the Hollywood Legion Theater

Harold does it again! Ninety-eight years after becoming an American icon by hanging from the hands of a clock over downtown L.A., he’s back, proudly hanging from American Legion Post 43 on Highland Avenue, just down the street from the entrance to the world famous Hollywood Bowl!

Pictured in the attached photos are veteran Bill Steele of the American Legion and Retroformat Silent Films board president Tom Barnes, assisting Retroformat board member Sean Malone in executing his plan, based on Suzanne Lloyd’s own idea.

Happy 128th Birthday, Harold!

Harold celebrates in the small dining room, while Roy Brooks watches from the dogs’ sheet-covered settee. (A birthday cake without candles?)
